As a successful business owner and entrepreneur, I have the wide range of experience to help you start a small business or grow an existing one. Ive been a SCORE volunteer for over ten years and have assisted hundreds of clients with questions like: I have an idea for starting a new business. Can you help me determine if it with be profitable? Do I have enough capital? How do I start a business in my State? Should it be a sole proprietorship, LLC or S-Corp? What if the domain name for my business is taken? Or, Facebook or Instagram names? Should I try to patent my idea for a product or just try to be first to the market? Is it a good, profitable product that people will actually buy? Do I need to hire employees? Or can I use independent contractors or Temp employees? Can I afford to quit my current job to start a business? Will I lose my healthcare insurance or deplete my retirement savings? Do I need/where can a find, a lawyer, CPA, insurance agent, social media specialist, etc.? Is my business bankable? How do I go about applying for a bank loan? How much borrowed money is enough? My specific business experience is in manufacturing but the skills I needed to learn to be successful translate into pretty much every business you can name. Im comfortable with technology and I hold three patents ranging from equipment for the offshore oil industry to 3D printing/ As a generalist, Im versed in all areas of business but specific skills include: Lean Manufacturing, thermoset and thermoplastic manufacturing, syntactic foam, the oceanographic business as well as the deepwater offshore oil and gas industry. My wife is a life-long equestrian and I can help with any business that deals with horses!
